Governor Extends Distance Learning Until End of School Year

Dear Auburn, Candia and Hooksett Families;

Today, as many of you may have heard, Governor Sununu extended remote learning for schools through the end of the school year. We will continue to have April vacation, April 27th – May 1st, as planned. There will be no distance learning during this time. The school boards will determine the last day of school in each district. These dates will be announced in May.

While school events are cancelled for the remainder of the year, we will be working on how to best recognize our 8th graders as they move on to high school. This recognition will align with state guidelines regarding social interaction and will be communicated by school principals as plans are finalized.

Once again, I’d like to thank the students, parents, teachers and administrators in our communities for their coordinated efforts, patience and support. As always, please feel free to reach out to teachers, principals and our district help desks if there is anything that you need.

Sincerely,

William J. Rearick
Superintendent of Schools
